Since 2017, under the GMES & Africa Support Program, the consortium led by the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) has been implementing an EO-based service aimed at seasonal agriculture monitoring and water abstraction assessment in the North Africa region. This service has proven beneficial to numerous end-users in the area, including farmers and irrigation managers. Specifically in Tunisia, the service operates through the collaboration between the lead consortium (OSS), the Tunisian National Center for Mapping and Remote Sensing (CNCT) as the national partner, and the Regional Commissariats for Agricultural Development (CRDA) as the service users.
