This use case details the consortium\u2019s engagement with end-users in Burkina Faso to support them in analyzing climate change mitigation, adaptation, and managing flood risks. GESTION DURABLE DES ZONES HUMIDES ET DES INONDATIONS EN AFRIQUE\nDE L\u2019OUEST (GDZHIAO)<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

L\u2019objectif du projet GDZHIAO est d\u2019aider les de\u0301cideurs et les parties prenantes a\u0300 ge\u0301rer les zones humides et les inondations en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest. Ces e\u0301cosyste\u0300mes importants fournissent des ressources pour la se\u0301curite\u0301 alimentaire, l\u2019approvisionnement en eau et les activite\u0301s culturelles et re\u0301cre\u0301atives, mais ils sont vulne\u0301rables a\u0300 la de\u0301gradation due a\u0300 des facteurs tels que le changement climatique, la de\u0301forestation et l\u2019urbanisation. C\u2019est dans ce but que le projet vise a\u0300 fournir des outils, des processus et des donne\u0301es ne\u0301cessaires au suivi et a\u0300 la gestion efficaces des zones humides, au contro\u0302le et a\u0300 l\u2019e\u0301valuation des inondations a\u0300 plusieurs e\u0301chelles et a\u0300 la mise en place d\u2019un cadre le\u0301gislatif et re\u0301glementaire harmonise\u0301 pour la gestion de ces environnements dans l\u2019espace CEDEAO.<\/p>
